I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for something interesting and simple so cook up for my 8 zillion meals Jeron has me eating. This is one of my standards, I make it at least once a month (and make 4-8 servings at a time. why cook more than I have too?)
lean ground turkey (usually comes in 1.25lb packages)
brown rice
(that’s it! unless you are a rebel and add some sliced cherry tomatoes)
1. Figure out your proportions. This part makes my head hurt sometimes, math isn’t my strong suit.
2. Start the rice, using plenty of bouillon
3. Brown the turkey, once 75% of it is cooked, start adding spices. I use copious amounts of Cajun spice, chili powder and black pepper. I suggest putting equal amounts of each in and tasting, then adding more to fit your palette. These are strong spices, and everyone is different!
4. That’s it! I eyeball my portions into reusable containers and store for up to a week. (2 weeks if you’re ballsy)
